Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege

If you are a regular reader of my blog you will recall the blog I wrote about my mother.
How she was abused by her ex husband.
Well I was thinking about that again and I was thinking about her friends and family that knew this was happening
And did nothing never said anything never called the police …..nothing.
That is such a shame why didn’t they step up and help.
Some people have this  idea of its none of there business
Well that’s  a bullshit way to look at it.
I say make it your business.
And don’t say well f she wanted it to stop she would leave .
I am telling you as someone who grew up in this life that is so not true.
My mother stayed out of fear for her life and mine.
Until one day when she  got the courage to leave.
But some women never get that courage …so I say we have to get that courage for them and help.
How do we help?……you may ask.
I say call the police offer the person being abused  a way out .
I don’t have all the answers how to do this .
But  I know from experience  that  if you offer help.
And someone accepts that help .
Then that makes you a hero and there isn’t nothing wrong with being a hero.
