Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege

When I was a teenager I had the biggest crush on this girl named Jasmine .
She was beautiful and I am not talking about just your average pretty girl.
I am talking magazine beauty here.
I remember imagining that one day I would be with her .
I just knew she was going to be a model or something one day.

Well I hadn’t seen Jasmine in a long time ..until the other day.
And I was blown away not from her beauty …but what had happen to her.
Jasmine has become addicted to drugs.
And she looks horrible .
It actually made my heart sad to see some one who had so much beauty ruin it all for something so useless as drugs.

This once amazingly beautiful girl had become a drug addict in the worse way.
She threw all of her opportunities out the window just to get high.
Her beautiful eyes glazed over with a look of pain.
Her once beautiful brown hair looked oily and dirty.
Her well place body had been replaced with a skinny frame that looked like hadn’t had food in a month.

She walked up to me and asked for money.
She didn’t even recognize me.
As she begged for money I almost gave her some…but I knew what she would do with the cash     
Just buy more drugs…so I chose not to give her any.

This broke my heart so much.
This woman that stood before me once was the girl I dreamed of.
I asked her if she was ok …and told her who I was.
She broke down and cried and  said that she was sorry for asking for money.
I told her I would help her get off the drugs if she would allow me to.
She said it was no use and then she just walked away from me.

The reason I tell you this is.
If you know someone who is on drugs and most of us do know someone .
Help them as much as you can .
Before they end up like the once beautiful Jasmine.
