Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege

I watched a program on tv last night that got me thinking.
It was about drug addicts  and it made me very sad.
See my aunt died last year because of drinking.
She once was a beautiful woman then she just withered away because of alcohol.
My mom and my aunts children had an intervention but it ended with no success.
I also have someone who is  in my family who is addicted to crystal meth.
He once was a hard working family man who now only works  to buy more drugs.
This addiction doesn’t care if your black white poor rich gay straight .
It is out to kill whoever it can.
People say that alcohol and drug addiction is a sickness .
This is true but it really is more like a monster waiting to seek its teeth in anyone it can.
See this addiction doesn’t only effect the person who is addicted .
It destroys way much more than that.
Family friends co workers are all effected by this monster.
What is even worse these days more kids are addicted than ever before.
Now you may  ask what can we do to help.
Well I really don’t know.
And maybe that is the scariest thing of all
